Description:The actor Donald Gray is seen here, pictured second from the right, visiting a part of the Reliant factory, possibly in Shenstone. Donald Gray had appeared in all 156 episodes of Mark Saber the one armed detective and the series by 1961 had more or less finished. Reliant launched their Saber Sports car which had at 1961 motor show been described as using the revolutionary new substance fiberglass. Gray was from South Africa and the company sent him with car on a publicity tour of the union of South Africa after which he was presented with the car but he used it for doing personal appearances but by 1966 he admitted the car had gone in 1965 and he now had an estate more suited to children and dogs. Gray went onto be the voice of Colonel White, Captain Black and slowed down as the voice of the mysterons in Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons puppet series. Once of his last roles was in Emmerdale Farm in 1974 dying 4 years later.
