Description:The aim of the Air Training Corps was to prepare cadets for service in the Royal Airforce or the Fleet Air Arm of the Royal Navy.
The Stone Air Defence Cadet Corps (later the A.T.C.) was founded in May 1941, with the help of Squadron-Leader H.C. Cooksey. The Senior School building was used as a centre, but in 1966 the A.T.C. moved to Walton Community Centre in Whitemill Lane.
