Description:'Tean, Staffordshire.' Showing a village street with old houses. 'J. C. Buckler.'

To the right of the picture can be seen a large building with a cupola. This is Tean Mills, founded in 1747 and belonging to Messrs John and Nathanial Phillips and Co. The company manufactured cotton tape.
