Description:c.1920-1923 Glazed Earthenware H. 10.9 x W. 41 cm Large earthenware plaque, thrown and turned by Shoji Hamada at St Ives, Cornwall, England. Decorated in the style of 17th century slipware, brown slip trailed lattice decoration around the rim, central design of a bull with a constellation above and Japanese characters below.
