Description:The parish church of Great Wyrley is dedicated to St. Mark and was built to the design of Thomas Johnson of Lichfield in 1844-1845. It is in the Early English style. A press photograph originally published in the 'World's Graphic Press' in 1903 as part of coverage of the George Edalji case. George's father, Rev. Shapurji Edalji, was the vicar of the parish of St. Mark's in Great Wyrley from 1876 to 1918.
