Description:Embroidered desert mat. Square panel of machine made lace. Lace embroidered with criss cross pattern in gold silk with green silk flowers. Embroidered central panel of a single blue and white flower with gold center, intermingling with stem and leaves. Long and short stitch used together with gold couching on stem. Embroidered on to pale beige background. Border surrounds panel. Long and short stitch in gold and white and dark green buttonhole stitch. Couched with gold thread. Reverse of mat backed with cream silk.
