Description:The Clock Tower originally stood on the junction of St John Street, Bore Street and Bird Street, Lichfield, outside what was the National and Provincial Bank, more recently the Brewhouse and Kitchen pub / restaurant. From 1927 to 1928 the Clock Tower was dismantled and relocated to its current position on the Bowling Green roundabout, to accommodate the building of The Friary road, linking Lichfield to Burntwood. The north side of St. John Street, looking east, can be seen in the distance.
