Description:Made by local blacksmith for Yew Tree Farm, Gnosall. Rectangular cradle with arched cover at one end made from wrought iron. Sides and cover are constructed from vertical wrought iron rods secured to framework. Scrolls decorate centre back and ends of rockers. Traces of green paint on metalwork. Lift-out slatted wooden base, painted dark green. Photograph by Dr J.E.C. Peters in 1965. The cradle has since (1983) been donated to the Staffordshire Archives & Heritage collection.
