Description:The front of this postcard has a sketch of Chetwynd House, Greengate Street, Stafford. This reverse side of the postcard has been hand-franked over a postage stamp celebrating Rowland Hill, credited with founding the 'penny-post' prepaid postal system in Great Britain. The postcard is unused and would probably have been part of a postcard or stamp collector’s collection. At the time of posting, Chetwynd House was Stafford's General Post Office.
