Date:23rd of March 1957

Description:The Stephenson Locomotive Society (Midland Area) ran the last train on the Stafford to Uttoxeter line on 23 March 1957. This photograph was taken by Dr J.E.C. Peters as the last train arrived at Ingestre & Weston Station, with around 200 railway enthusiasts on board.

This last journey from Stafford called at the following stations: Stafford Common, Salt & Sandon, Ingestre & Weston, Chartley & Stowe, Grindley and finally at Bromshall Junction (Bramshall) and in reverse order on the return journey.
