Description:This view looks across St. Mary's landscaped churchyard to St. Mary’s Grove.

From the left, numbers 5 to 8 St. Mary's Grove are Grade II listed buildings. Numbers 5 and 6 were originally houses built in the mid-18th century. At the time of this photograph number 6 was a guest house. Numbers 7 and 8 have a core dating from around 1680; however, in form they date from the mid-18th century and were built as a pair of semi-detached houses. Their fronts were rebuilt in largely the same style around 1985.

Numbers 5 and 6 are now (2025) occupied by Hutsby-Mees Solicitors’ offices and numbers 7 and 8 by Nowell Meller, Solicitors. The left side end of number 5 is attached to the Guildhall Shopping Centre.
