Description:Wall plaque dedicated to Edward, 2nd Baron Hatherton of Teddesley, located in the north transept of St Mary's, Stafford. The object partially obscuring the plaque is an old weathercock, formerly fixed on top of the church's central tower.

The memorial inscription reads:
‘To the glory of God, and in memory of Edward Richard 2nd Baron Hatherton, C.B., this window was erected AD 1889 by the past and present officers of the 2nd King’s Own Staffordshire Regiment Light Infantry of Militia to commemorate their affection for him as a friend, and their appreciation of his courtesy and great efficiency as Colonel of the Regiment, from its first formation in 1853 to 1888, and especially during the periods of the Crimean War and the Indian Mutiny, when the regiment was embodied for many months at Stafford, and afterwards served with the Regular Forces at Aldershot, Portsmouth, Plymouth and the Curragh.’
