Description:This classical marble wall memorial, ornate in design but simple in inscription, commemorates William Corne. It can be found on the north side of St Mary's, Stafford. The Reverend William Corne died on November 23, 1753, aged 57.

The Latin inscription reads:
‘Hic infra jacet Vir reverendus Gulielmus Corne A.M. obit XXIII die Novembris AD MDCCLIII Suaeque Aetatis LVII.’
