Description:Decorative wrought iron screen memorial erected by the officers and men of the 80th (South Staffordshire) Regiment in memory of their comrades who fell in the Sekukuni and Zulu Campaigns in South Africa, 1878-1879. The screen features five imitation Zulu shields bearing the names of the fallen, set against railings topped with replica Zulu weaponry. When installed originally, the Cathedral authorities at Lichfield requested that the spear-heads be removed as being too warlike, but the commanding officer of the 80th declined to comply and they remain today.
