Description:Detail showing the third inscribed metal plaque on the Anglo-Zulu War Memorial, in the form of an imitation Zulu cow-hide shield. The names of the fallen are inscribed on the imitation insert strips, giving rank on the left and name on the right, starting with senior officers first. This third memorial shield plaque lists the men of the 80th (South Staffordshire) Regiment who fell at the Battle of the Ntombe Drift in Zululand on March 12, 1879.
