Description:A postcard view of the Foaming Jug public house. Painted on the wall is a sign advertising Butler's ales The pub has since changed its name to the Oaken Arms. The landlord and his wife Mr and Mrs George Rowley are standing outside the front door. The Foaming Jug on the main Wolverhampton- Shrewsbury and Chester Road, set back from the road, is another of those popular “call houses”. Visitors are always assured of a warm welcome from Mr and Mrs George Rowley.
