Description:Originally known as the Spread Eagle, it was known as the Talbot by the time this photograph was taken. The original stone building was almost entirely demolished and a Sugden-designed hotel built in 1877-78. In 2015 it was converted into a Premier Inn hotel. Outside a wedding group are standing and Mr William Spooner Brough is sitting in the carriage of J. Weston, the Coachman.
