Woodwork and cookery classes available for staff and residents at Drake Hall. The image captions read: "Woodwork Teacher: - Mr. Whittaker 'Working with ones hands is a joy, at least, these woodwork pupils think so.' Cookery Teachers: Mrs. Craddock, L.E.A., Mr. Norman Foster, Drake Hall Staff : 'The students were very keen indeed and consisted mostly of Brides-to-be and if the cookery class was the means of saving a blush but upon one cheek, we shall be well satisfied.'
