(trombone), Paul Price (trombone) and David LeMaistre (euphonium). Front row players (left to right): George Bohanon (cornet), Fred Price (cornet), Eddie Barrett (tenor horn), Breyl Taylor (tenor horn), Sam Hartshorne (conductor), Bill Hughes (bass drum), Tommy Hughes (side drum), ? (cornet), David Williams (cornet) and Jimmy Clark (cornet). Stafford Brass Band was formed at the English Electric Lichfield Road works during World War II. In the late 1940s the band moved to the Royal British Legion headquarters in Eastgate Street and became Stafford British Legion Band. The band was also later known as the Stafford Borough and British Legion Band and Stafford Concert Brass.
