Description:The church of St. John the Evangelist was built in 1842-44. It was greatly enlarged in 1909-10 by A.R. Piercy. An interior view of the nave. This is one of a series of watercolours of all the churches in Lichfield Diocese in Staffordshire, painted by Miss Theodosia Hinckes and Mrs Rebecca Moore for Lichfield Cathedral between 1857 and 1861.
