Description:St. George's Church was built in 1851-52 to designs by Thomas Johnson of Lichfield. The last service was held on 17th January 1974, and demolition took place in March 1975. An interior view of the south aisle and nave. This is one of a series of watercolours of all the churches in Lichfield Diocese in Staffordshire, painted by Miss Theodosia Hinckes and Mrs Rebecca Moore for Lichfield Cathedral between 1857 and 1861.
