Description:One of the Fire Brigade teams is pictured preparing hoses to aim at the competition targets. The day’s events took place at Stychfields sports field, adjacent to the Stafford Works. In the background the building on the right is the English Electric Transformer factory and the houses on the left and centre are in Sabine Street and Stychfields. They form part of a housing estate built for employees of the company and for many years locally known as Siemens Colony.
