Date:1858
Description:St. Thomas was built in 1751 with a chancel of 1842-3 by Wyatt & Brandon. There was a serious fire in 1903 and the church was rebuilt by F.T. Beck. The nave and tower were rebuilt in their original style, but the chancel was replaced. This interior view shows the nave and chancel before Beck's reconstruction. This is one of a series of watercolours of all the churches in Lichfield Diocese in Staffordshire, painted by Miss Theodosia Hinckes and Mrs Rebecca Moore (wife of the Archdeacon of Stafford for Lichfield Cathedral) for Lichfield Cathedral between 1857 and 1861.
