Description:This painting shows the interior of the chapel of ease built in 1848 on land given by Lord Norton. In 1865 this chapel became the chancel of a new parish church when the nave was added in 1865. This is one of a series of watercolours of all the churches in Lichfield Diocese in Staffordshire, painted by Miss Theodosia Hinckes and Mrs Rebecca Moore (wife of the Archdeacon of Stafford for Lichfield Cathedral) for Lichfield Cathedral between 1857 and 1861.
