Description:The first record of a church on this site is dated about 1140. The tower of the present building dates from the late 15th century, although the remainder of the church was rebuilt in the 1790s after the south walls and roof collapsed. The bricks for the new building were made at Milwich Heath.
This is one of a series of watercolours of all the churches in Lichfield Diocese in Staffordshire, painted by Miss Theodosia Hinckes and Mrs Rebecca Moore (wife of the Archdeacon of Stafford for Lichfield Cathedral) for Lichfield Cathedral between 1857 and 1861.
