Description:Pictured is one the documents related to the conferring of the Freedom of Entry into the Borough of Stafford to RAF Stafford (16 MU) on 16 December 1954. There was a grand ceremonial occasion in the town and the honour was celebrated by a March Past the Mayor in the Market Square by the RAF Central Band, 600 airmen and airwomen, followed by a civic reception, at which the Secretary of State for Air was present.
