Description:'Steps to Prosperity' float, encouraging recycling during the post-war period, entered in the annual Stafford Pageant. The procession through Stafford ended with a fair on the town common. A prize was awarded to the best decorated entries and along the route collections were made for Stafford General Infirmary. Photograph donated by Stafford Historical and Civic Society, who retain copyright ownership.
