Description:The start of the Gordon Bennett Eliminating Trials held on the Isle of Man. No 3 is a Weir-Darracq. The Eliminating trials were for British built cars, and although Darracq cars were built in France, a Scottish company built this special race car to compete as an British-built car. It was not successful and little else was heard of the Weir company relating to car building.
