Description:Church Farm stands close to St. Chad’s Church, Seighford. It is a 17th century timber-framed house with later 19th century additions. It is no longer a working farm, and the farmhouse and outbuildings have all been renovated as residential properties.

At the time of this photograph, it was a dairy farm tenanted by Fred Waterfall. Born in 1938 at Brook House Farm at Aston, Doxey, he started farming at Church Farm in 1960 and remained until 1985. He then moved to nearby Yews Farm and concentrated on farming beef cattle until he retired and moved out in 2015. He was well known for his poetry and writing on farming matters under the pen name ‘Owd Fred’. He died in May 2026.
