Description:Village Farm is a Grade II listed 17th century timber-framed house on the Cumbers, Seighford. It is also known as Fairbanks’ Farm after the family who tenanted the farm throughout much of the 20th century.

Samuel Fairbanks (1857-1914) moved here with his wife Mary Elenor (1859-1914) and their family from Whitgreave in the early years of the 20th century. When Samuel and Mary both died in 1914 their eldest son John Clement ‘Jack’ Fairbanks took over the farm until his death in 1962, aged 74. The farm ceased operating as such around 1977, and the house was sold as a private residence. The outbuildings were converted into residences during the 1980s.
