Date:1900 - 1910 (c.)

Description:An unidentified shooting party pictured on the steps of a classical porch. The location maybe somewhere in the Cannock Chase area.

The gentleman standing far right is thought to be John Parker (1861-1930). He progressed to become the the chief electrician at Cannock Wood colliery and lived on site - there were several houses close to the pit, presumably for key personnel. John Parker appears to beholding a stick, and may have been acting as a beater for the shooting party.
