Description:A view of cottages on Rickerscote Road taken from School Lane at the junction with Old Rickerscote Lane.

These cottages still exist (2026), those facing the camera have been changed by removing the door and replacing the windows. On the extreme left is No.159, called 'Old Plough Farmhouse’ and attached on the right is No. 161. The row of cottages on the extreme right has also been modified.

The roadside building has been said locally to have been the original Plough Inn, which was also a farm. In 1940 there was a new-build pub the 'Plough’ built next to the church at Rickerscote, later becoming known as the 'Alpine Lodge' and then the 'Rickerscote Arms'. This was demolished in 2017 and replaced by housing.
