Description:Viewed from White Lion Street, the white building is Gothic Cottage.

Gothic Cottage is a Grade II listed building dating from 1840 – 1842. At the time of the photograph it was known as No. 132 Lichfield Road, however, it has since been redefined as being on White Lion Street, this was due to major road works in the area around the 1970s, which made White Lion Street into a cul-de-sac.

On the left there is a part view of a three storey building in Tagg’s Passage which remains (2026) although the attached wall has since been remodelled. On the right across the road is Green Hall Lodge which was demolished about the same time as the road works. Note the road traffic sign and the bus stop on the left.
