Date:1964

Description:Pool Farm House and the barn on the left stood adjacent to the A5 (Watling Street), opposite Calf Heath reservoir. This rear view shows it in a derelict state. Soon after this photograph was taken in 1964 it was demolished, probably for major road improvements in the area.

The Victoria History for the County of Stafford (Vol. 5 - 1959) describes it as: "17th century brick house on the north of Watling Street, having a timber-framed barn at the rear and was raised one-storey at a later date”.
