Description:Originally a Wesleyan Chapel dating from 1839, the building was extended forward, and a new brick frontage (as seen) was constructed in 1870. In 1877, a rear extension was added. It became a social annexe to the modern St Paul's Methodist and United Reform Church which was built on the opposite side of the street in 1967. It still serves as St Paul's Church Hall today (2026).
The long building roofline in the background belongs to the Plaza Cinema on Horsefair, dating from 1936 and originally called 'The Picture House'. It closed in 1996 and is now The Plaza, a Wetherspoon's Public House.
