Description:Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church is situated on Upper St John Street, Lichfield, at its junction with Chapel Lane.

The attached priest's house and the original chapel date from 1803 for the Rev Dr John Kirk. The church was remodelled by local architect Joseph Potter (possibly Junior) in 1834. The Norman-Gothic style west front of the church used stone from Tixall. The presbytery, church and attached school are Grade II listed. The former school to the rear dates from 1899 and is now (2026) a community room.
