Description:A postcard view looking north along Main Street, Yoxall.

This scene has hardly changed over the years. In the centre distance is the Grade II listed 17th century timber-framed house at 1 King Street. To the right can be seen the sign for the Golden Cup public house. Next door are several houses leading to the tall building on the right which is currently (2026) known as the Old Police House, the adjoining outbuilding has since been converted into a private residence called Mimosa Cottage.

This postcard was sent by Ethel, from the Hospital, Yoxall. It was franked at 9.30pm in Burton-on-Trent on 17 January 1913 and sent to “My Dear Loo”, at an address in Wentworth Falls, Blue Mountains, New South Wales, Australia.
