Description:Looking west along Tipping Street towards Greengate Street, Stafford.

On the left at the far-end of Tipping Street is the back of the Alexandra Hotel on the corner. This and all the buildings on the left side of the street were levelled around 1963, and replaced with a Tesco supermarket which later moved, and the site is now (2026) a Superdrug store. In the centre distance is Haycock & Tooth's outfitters shop which stocked goods for ladies, men and children at No’s. 42, 43 and 43a Greengate Street. The shop was later demolished and replaced with a new building currently occupied by the Co-operative Bank. On the right is a glimpse of the Oddfellows Hall which still stands.
