In 1965 the business was sold to British Oil and Cake Mills who closed the site in 1984. The mill building is currently (2025) the home of Verso Creative, a Branding and Design Agency. The adjacent two-storey building on the corner is now occupied by Davison Law, Solicitors offices.

The buildings to the left have since been demolished. The building on the right was the Staffordshire Police garage and workshop, demolished in 2015 and replaced with a block of apartments.
