Description:A watercolour by an unknown artist showing the interior of St. Peter's Church, Alton looking east towards the chancel. It shows the church before the building of the south arcade and south aisle in 1830-1831.
The church has a Norman north arcade and a 14th century tower. It was largely rebuilt in 1830-1831 by William Evans of Ellastone. The chancel and south chapel were built in 1884-5 by J.R. Naylor.
