Description:This photograph of Bore Street, Lichfield was taken in 1961. On the left is a part view of Donegal House, both the house and its attached railings are Grade II* listed. It was built in 1730 for James Robinson, a mercer, possibly by Francis Smith of Warwick. Donegal House in currently (2025) used as offices by Lichfield City Council.

In the centre the timber-framed building is Grade II* listed and known as 'The Tudor of Lichfield', a restaurant and tea rooms, family-owned since 1936. The building dates from 1510; however, Wakeling and Pevsner have it as around 16th century, probably later rather than earlier. On the left of the bus-stop there is a passageway known as 'Tudor Row' which emerges into Wade Street. To the right of ‘The Tudor' are Nos. 28 and 30, both Grade II listed and dating from around 1820. The centre pair of ground-floor windows have been changed and are now two shop windows.
