Description:No. 7, Market Square, Stafford, viewed from close to the Shire Hall which is on the left.

This Grade II listed building dates from around 1800. Note the 'Catherine Wheel' glazing over the central door. For many years, at street level, it was the premises of George Bates, Gunmaker. It is currently (2025) a hair-dressing salon. The upper stories at the time of the photograph were occupied by 'The Paramount Building Society'.
