Description:This view shows No. 2 and No. 2a, Bridge Street in a winter setting with a dusting of snow on the yard and on some of the roofs of the surrounding buildings. At the time of the picture these two houses stood at the rear of several shops which fronted on Bridge Street. Currently (2025) the shop premises are known as No. 3 ‘Peppers’, Pizza and Grill and No. 3a, ‘Thawa Bridge’ an Indian restaurant. On the left of the railings there is a brook known as the Forebridge Drain which remains. Most of the buildings in the photograph have since been demolished.
