Description:Formerly a Methodist Church, Chapel House stands at the corner of Hollow Lane and Leek Road in Cheddleton, and has been converted into a private residence. The porch is relatively unchanged and gives away the building's ecclesiastical origins. The chapel is believed to date from 1849 and be a modification of an earlier building.

In 1792 Robert Cooper, a Wesleyan Methodist preacher settled in Cheddleton and used a cottage near the Red Lion for his congregation. This chapel was built, or was an enlargement of an existing chapel, in 1849.
