Description:The Stafford and Stone Divisional Conservative Association fete held at Sandon Park in 1952, opened by British film star Susan Shaw.

Pictured at the fete are, from left to right: Mrs Leonard Jones; Lady Anna Shepard Johnson; Susan Shaw; Major Hugh Fraser, Member of Parliament for Stafford and Stone; Sir Ernest Johnson, President of Stafford and Stone Divisional Conservative Association.

Ernest James Johnson was Managing Director of Johnson Brothers pottery and was knighted in 1937 for political and public services in Staffordshire. Hugh Fraser was M.P. For Stafford between 1945 and 1950 and for Stafford and Stone between 1950 and 1983.
