Description:Fire fighter Ernest Hector Haywood, son of the Stafford Chief Fire Officer Alfred Ernest Haywood, is pictured driving the Brigade's fire engine at the Fire Station on South Walls, next to the Royal Brine Baths. He is accompanied by 'Old Don', the family dog. Ernest served with the Stafford Fire Brigade until 1945.
