Description:Members of the Sports and Social Club of Messrs. J H Lines, Ltd., the well-known Stafford firm of engineers, are pictured at their second annual dinner at the Co-operative Café, in Gaolgate Street, Stafford. The President, Mr J A Lines, was unable to attend and the Chairman of the Club Mr W Brookes presided, he was accompanied by Mrs Brookes. Others present included Mr T L Cole, Assistant Manager and Mrs Cole, Mr F Clews, Secretary and Mrs Clews, Mr H Nield, Social Secretary and Mrs Nield, Mr R Baker, Treasurer and Mrs Baker. The dinner proved a great success with over 50 members and friends attending. After the dinner there was a social and dance, with items by Mr A Wiggin and Mr F Duggan and music by Cyril Hancox and his Band.
