Description:Maple Hayes Hall was built in 1796 by George Addams, a Lichfield wine merchant. In 1884 it was purchased by Albert Octavius Worthington of Worthington & Co.’s brewery who extended the house, including adding an extra storey and bay windows to the side wings.

In 1951 it was acquired by Staffordshire County Council and in 1953 opened as a boarding house attached to Lichfield’s King Edward VI Grammar School. It was sold in 1981 to Dr Neville Brown and since 1982 it has been Maple Hayes Hall Specialist School for Dyslexics.
