Description:A postcard view of a group posing for the camera at a comic football match between the village's football club's first and second teams held in Abbots Bromley on Christmas Day 1923. The procession from the Church House was headed by the Rev. Father Craig and Mr Ovendon. The ball was kicked off by Miss Daniels. The prize for the funniest costume was given to Mr. R. Harrison, attired as Charlie Chaplin. Mr Donald Webb was dressed as the baby. Father Craig is on the far left.

On the reverse the only remarks are: “What do think of Arthur?”, “Don Webb is the Baby” and “A.B. Comic Football Match Xmas Day 1923”.
