Description:Thomas B. Allkins took over an existing chemist's shop at 33 Market Street in 1897 but by 1911 he had become insolvent. he died in 1917 and the shop was acquired by Lands chemists. In 1930 it was Martin's Dyers and Clleaners, in 1946 it was Geiorge Hutchinson, gentleman's outfitter, and was for a while the Beehive Stores. It has since been occupied by a number of different shops and is now (2019) occupied by ABD Carpet and Flooring.
